索尼正式宣布，第二代Digital Paper将在下个月开始发售，其售价是699.99美元，折合人民币约4900元，定位人群学者、律师、医疗专家。
虽然外形继承了一代风格，但新的Digital Paper在设计上依旧让人愉悦，没有太多花哨的东西修饰，就是极简的大屏幕配上手写笔，为用户带来最纯粹的阅读体验，当然相比上代新的设备分辨率提升至像素。
分辨率提高，但第二代Digital Paper的超长续航能力得以保留，完整充电之后能够持续使用三周时间，当然除了阅读外，你还可以在这个设备做各种笔记，那书写感觉就跟在纸上书写一样。

DPT-RP1测量机身尺寸为224×302.6×5.9mm，重349g，提供了与上一代类似的13.3英寸E Ink显示屏，但是将分辨率从提升到。屏幕面板具有“防滑”功能，并且附带有数字笔以改善用户书写注释文档的体验。DPT-RP1设计也比以前的版本更薄，更轻，更快，整个设备的厚度相当于30页的纸张。基本参数方面，内置Marvell（R） IAP140 64位四核处理器，16GB ROM（可用11GB），支持双频Wi-Fi、蓝牙4.2，NFC。电池续航约3周的时间。不过DPT-RP1依然仅支持PDF格式文档的阅读，但值得一提的是，索尼为台式机电脑开发了一种新的数字纸应用程序，用户可以将网站和文档转换为PDF格式，并将其无线传输到DPT-RP1上进行阅读。

Adopting the electronic induction method and the optical touch panel technology, this thin and light 13.3-inch (1,200 x 1,600 dot) electronic paper (6.8mm thickness, mass 358g) comes with a 4GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a micro-USB port, PDF file format support and WiFi connectivity, and is powered by a built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Sony aims to commercialize the terminal in 2013 fiscal year. []
