另外，“号”应该是number吧,“室”是room还是flat？

Lane is the most common translation for 弄 in China.

Usually you start with the smallest thing in English as a guide and 'Flat' if it's a flat, or 'Room' if it's a place of work. Houses don't usually require anything.The address doesn't make sense in English as it would either be:中山北路 or 中山北弄 not Zhong Shan Bei Road Alley

But what's wrong if just translate it as how it is spelt in Pinyin: "Nong"? :)

事实上 弄 是方言 就是小巷，胡同的意识
I come from northeast China .i live in Shenyang .here wo donot use that word. it is dialect.that means Alley

The standard format in Canada is:NameAddress

最近做项目的时候要用到一个软件，一查正版的价格4600元/年，导师说了太贵了！得了，找个免费得凑合用吧。到软件的官网上去申请一个使用版本的，需要填写申请，纯英语的。虽说这英语也学了十多年了，可真到用的时候就抓瞎了。特别是写Address的时候。
都知道英语写地址的要从小往大写，跟我们的习惯方式正好相反，可是怎么写才是专业的，不会让别人一眼就看出来你是个英语菜鸟呢？在Google上baidu了一阵，总结如下：
中文地址的排列顺序是由大到小，如：X国X省X市X区X路X号，而英文地址则刚好相反，是由小到大。如上例写成英文就是：X号，X路，X区，X市，X省，X国。掌握了这个原则，翻译起来就容易多了！
X室　　Room　X&
X号　　No.　X&
X单元　Unit　X&
X号楼　Building No.　X&
X街　　X　Street&
X路　　X　Road&
X区　　X　District&
X县　　X　County&
X镇　　X　Town&
X市　　X　City&
X省　　X　Province
这样就够全乎了。其中那些路名、街道名等最好用拼音，不要弄巧成拙。
