英语翻译The house next door had been empty for so long that we had quite forgotten what it was like to have neighbours. One day, however,a great furniturevan drew up near our front gate, and in a short time, tables, chairs, beds, pictures, and numerous other things were heaped up on the pavement.A small car arrived out of which emerged seven people:a man,a woman, and five children of various ages. The children hurried out and began laughing loudly as the whole family trooped into the house.Windows were flung open;furniture was put into place;and little faces peered inquisitively at us over the fence and disappeared. It was our first introduction to the Robinsons.Though we became good friends with our new neighbours,we often irritated by them.We lent them so many things that we never quite knew whether something had been lost or lent. Our garden became an unsafe place:little boys dressed as cowboys or Indians would leap up from behind bushes, point wooden pistols at us and order us to put our hands up.Sometimes our lives were spared;at others,we were mown down pitilessly,in cold blood,at point_blank range, with a sharp “Bang!Bang!”Even more dangerous were the arrows that occasionally came sailing over the garden fence. They had no sooner fallen, than Robin Hood would appear to retrieve them, dragging his unwilling sister,Maid Marian, behind him.But we did not always go in fear of our lives. The Robinsons were friendly and helpful and when we left our house for the holidays,we knew we had nothing to fear so long as our neighbours were about. We understood what it was to have company in the long, friendless, winter evenings when Mrs.Robinson would drop in for a cup of tea and a chat;or when Mr.Robinson would lean against the fence and talk endlessly with father about gardening problems. The plot next door which had been so unsightly,so overgrown with weeds, blossomed in time into a delightful garden;and the empty house,so long deserted, was flooded with life and laughter.

A perfect start to 2015 for Djokovic
MELBOURNE, Australia -- Perhaps keeping himself grounded is what pushes Novak Djokovic to newer heights."Well, you know, I try to stay on the right path and committed to this sport in every possible way that I have had in the last couple of years, and try to use this prime time of my career, really, where I'm playing and feeling the best at 27," Djokovic said shortly after winning his fifth Australia Open title. "This is why I play the sport, you know, to win big titles and to put myself in a position to play also for the people around me."I know how much sacrifice they put in in my own career, and I try to thank them and not take anything for granted. As my life progresses, there are circumstances, situations, events that define these beautiful moments. Getting married and becoming a father in the last six months was definitely something that gave me a new energy, something that I never felt before. And right now everything has been going in such a positive direction in my life. I'm so grateful for that. So I try to live these moments with, you know, all my heart."The man has perspective, we'll give him that. And he has game, too. Djokovic is clearly flying high after the first Slam of the season, but the same can't be said for everyone. With that, the first Up or Down edition of the 2015 season (arrows indicate whether the player is trending up or down, not necessarily whether his world ranking has changed).No. 1. Novak Djokovic: There's an old maxim in tennis: Finish strong. Djokovic took that to heart, winning the final nine games of the Aussie Open final, an effort that propelled him closer to the top of tennis' pantheon. With eight Slam titles, Djokovic is quickly moving up. Whether he catches Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal will depend a lot on how this season goes. Can the Serb finally win the French Open? Will he repeat at Wimbledon? There's a lot of tennis to be played. But no one came away from the "Happy Slam" happier than the world No. 1.No. 2. Roger Federer: He said he knew it was going to be a tough day before he ever stepped on the court against Andreas Seppi. Turns out Federer, aside from his Rolodex of records, is a pretty good forecaster as well. It's an easy play to knock his age. At 33 years old, Federer says it's not about mobility but motivation. And he still wants to win. Let's see how the next couple of months go, particularly Indian Wells and Miami, before we pass too much judgment.No. 3. Rafael Nadal: Same thing. Let's wait before we overreact. Nadal was outclassed by Tomas Berdych in the quarterfinals, but the Spaniard said he wasn't match-ready from the outset. The season is young, and Nadal has a good track record at the two spring Masters 1000 hard-court events. The problem with Nadal is that more and more players are figuring out ways to muscle him around. Berdych nailed 46 winners in just three sets. No matter what happens in the coming weeks, Rafa will have the comfort of clay coming up soon enough.No. 4. Andy Murray: It's easy to get down on Murray after the listless last two sets he played in the final. But the reality is that his season is already better than 2014 in its entirety -- if we're looking at it through the prism of what really matters to the players (Grand Slams). Murray did not win a single event last year until after the US Open. But his back is healthy, his game looks sharp, and his mouth is as filthy as ever, which -- condemn him if you want -- seems to motivate the Scot. Murray will, however, need to jack up his second-serve deliveries to get by the likes of the other Big Four members moving forward.No. 5 Kei Nishikori: Ask around, and most tennis aficionados will tell you Nishikori is the likeliest candidate to join the list of Grand Slam winners this season. A US Open runner-up last season, Nishikori was overmatched against Stan Wawrinka and couldn't touch the Swiss' devastating serve in their quarterfinal matchup. Still, it was a good result for the Japanese player who has made the final eight in back-to-back Slams for the first time in his career.No. 9. Stan Wawrinka: Hard to fault Stan for falling to Djokovic in five sets. With the exception of a thorough defeat of Kei Nishikori, Wawrinka didn't play with the same authority he did here a year ago, though it's a lot different coming in as the defending champ than it is taking the field by surprise. Wawrinka was over-firing for most of his quarterfinal tilt against Djoker, donating 69 unforced errors. Still, it was Stan's first loss in his past 12 matches Down Under.No. 18 John Isner: We like to blame Isner for the travail of the US men, which isn't quite right. But no matter how you slice it, the 6-foot-10 American takes the brunt of criticism for a country that hasn't won a major since Andy Roddick claimed the 2003 US Open. Still, Gilles Muller's straight-sets win once again exposed Isner's return of serve -- or lack thereof.No. 35 Nick Kyrgios: If we had a hotdog Power Rankings, Kyrgios would land in the top position. As it stands, he is more apt to wow the crowd with a tweener rather than go for the smart, safe shot. But then again, Kyrgios has as big an upside as anyone in the game. As Andy Murray said after his straight-sets win against Kyrgios, the Aussie has a world-class serve, just give him a chance to mature. And it should be pointed out that while we malign Kyrgios for his hubristic tendencies, he did jump 18 spots in the ATP World Tour rankings this week.英语翻译Once a great boxer,Tom Brown, goes to a restaurant for dinner. He puts his bag near the door, but he is afraid that someone will take it.So he gets out a pen ande apiece of paper and writes on it:"The greatboxer,Tom Brown, leaves his bag here_百度作业帮
