They got everyone excited and reputable online mobile phone shops actually had people pay to reserve their own copies. Then the project kept getting delayed and delayed and delayed some more. They finally released some sort of phone in 2011. This new company sounds a lot like meizu.

Because it is from China & mainly because it is the first cellphone Product from FoxConn I won’t preorder it until I read some reviews & read some user opinions first. Let me be honest even such great product is from FoxConn the many parts supplier for Apple you can not judge their quality according to iphone because Apple is not on their heads this time telling them what to do & not do. Although, I dislike iphone & hope it is nothing near it.

Unlikely, once you've done the trick once with a far more complicated and crammed design (iPhone), even with a different group of workers you have the expertise in-house to make phones properly. China has had interesting releases earlier, this is no exception. Expect this to get slowed down significantly to reach the US/Europe markets, if it will reach us at all. This would kill every single bit of competition from the midrange segment upwards all the way to flagship phones.
