好好扒扒亚裔的经济地位，印度裔真是害人不浅啊&br&&br&为什么说亚裔成功，基本都是因为这张图啊&br&&img data-rawheight=&148& data-rawwidth=&445& src=&/9fa7407edda7c7034bbfbf2eb88b48f7_b.png& class=&origin_image zh-lightbox-thumb& width=&445& data-original=&/9fa7407edda7c7034bbfbf2eb88b48f7_r.png&&&br&&a class=& wrap external& href=&///?target=https%3A//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ethnic_groups_in_the_United_States_by_household_income& target=&_blank& rel=&nofollow noreferrer&&List of ethnic groups in the United States by household income&i class=&icon-external&&&/i&&/a&&br&看起来是吧，亚裔的household median income是74,000美元，比美国平均水平多上一半，看起来是吧？&br&&img data-rawheight=&245& data-rawwidth=&312& src=&/0aef5e825c9b92e7906facce_b.png& class=&content_image& width=&312&&看出问题了么，&b&&u&亚裔怎么就印度裔一个族裔达到了74,00的平均线啊，整个美国只有伊朗裔和印度裔达到了&/u&&/b&，亚裔真是厉害到自己都达不到自己的水平了啊&br&（Ps：伊朗裔在Bureau, U.S. Census定义为White American，而台湾裔是单独列出来的，也没有达到平均线，在文中最后会具体的解释美国族群划分问题）&br&&br&&br&&b&&u&第一个关键关键在于，亚裔成为&高收入‘群体，印度裔功不可没&/u&&/b&。&br&按照种族划分，印度裔的median household income 是127,000美元，而亚裔的median household income 是74,000美元；华裔和日裔的median household income 都是在67,000美元左右——成为被代表了&br&而可怜的韩裔，甚至只有53000美元，而美国的median household income是52,000美元...&br&而亚裔如果排除掉印度裔的话，大概只有64,000美元左右，而这样的话大概有台湾裔、菲律宾裔、日裔、华裔和斯里兰卡裔达到了，而这些族群大概占了整个亚裔的一半左右，所以这才是亚裔的真正经济水平——$64,000&br&&br&看起来还是比White American的$57,000有优势啊，&b&&u&第二个关键来了——White American是包含White Hispanic American的。&/u&&/b&&br&Hispanic American 就是我们常常称呼的拉美裔，拉美裔经济地位较低——household median income只有41,500美元，然而拉美裔却多达5,000万以上，其中53%算作White HIspanic。&br&所以我们理解的White American 实际上经济水平被低估了，如果White America排除White Hispanic American那么他的household median income 会达到了60,000美元（有些统计表明为62,000美元）&br&这下子就很明显了，&b&&u&实际上真正的“白人”和“亚裔“根本没显著地差别&/u&&/b&。&br&&b&&u&实际上我以前取得是2012年的数据，还有2007年的数据，差距都在10%以内，有兴趣每个人都可以自己找数据，就大体明白怎么回事了&/u&&/b&&br&&br&感谢美国的统计部门，因为印度裔，身为亚裔的我们莫名成了“高收入族裔”了，问题是亚裔那个“高收入水平&在亚裔中只有印度裔达到了&br&&br&在进一步分析前进行美国demographics方面的科普:&br&1
——什么是亚裔？&br&&br&
亚裔有许多定义，在政治上一般使用Bureau, U.S. Census的权威定义：originated in East Asian,Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent&br&&b&&u&美国统计部门认为东亚人、东南亚人和印度次大陆或者说是南亚人是亚裔&/u&&/b&，南亚人包括南亚六国——印度、巴基斯坦、孟加拉国、尼泊尔、斯里兰卡、不丹&br&
所以亚裔不等于亚洲人后裔，犹太人并不算为亚裔；&br&
伊朗裔、阿富汗裔、中亚裔、北亚裔等也不算入亚裔&br&
同时夏威夷等太平洋岛屿并不算为亚裔范围，而是属于Pacific Islands American，帕劳属于东南亚范围内，但是是Pacific Islands American&br&&b&&u& 同时一个值得注意的是台湾裔通常和华裔是两个对象，分别是Taiwanese和Chinese American&/u&&/b&；有时也会说 Chinese American include Taiwanese；Taiwanese在统计上的经济水平和教育水平都大大超过Chinese American&br&&br&2 ——什么是白人（White American）？&br&&br&
如果说亚裔已经划分的很奇妙了，那么白人的划分会更加奇怪，White American是指的来于Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa.&br&
第一个值得注意的是，常人认为的白人是等同于欧洲裔，但是美国统计部分的划分是White American 范围比 European American广&br&
第二个值得注意的是既然是来自欧洲， 那么澳大利亚人和墨西哥人算是什么？都是算是White American,所以整个拉丁美洲都是包括在内的，叫做hispanic American/ Latino American / hispanic and Latino Americans，更准确的是叫做拉美裔；&br&
另外还有个词语叫做Spanish American，也是西班牙裔的意思，但是指的是直接来自西班牙的。前者则是祖先来源于西班牙，可以是自己来自拉丁美洲大陆，所以前者包括后者。&br&
第三个，北非裔和中东裔都是White American，所以经济地位很高的伊朗裔和利比亚裔都是White American。从阿富汗到摩洛哥都被认为是White American &br&
第四个，实际上北亚和中亚裔是算作White American的，前者也没有算作Asian American，所以经济地位很高的俄裔是典型的White American&br&
第五个.....明白了么，除了东亚、东南亚、南亚、撒哈拉以南的非洲，基本全都全都是White American&br&&br&&br&3 ——亚裔经济水平到底怎么样？&br&&br&
所以我们回到原来的收入列表,如果我们把台湾裔单独看做一个族裔的话&br&
收入排名前十的族裔，只有3个是Asian American ,分别是印度裔、菲律宾裔和台湾裔，而7个
是White American&br&
而前二十的族裔，则有6个是Asian American，加上了华裔、日裔和斯里兰卡裔，而共有13个White American，最后一个是Pacific Islands American&br&
这就很明显了，要论收入的话白人还是有很大的优势，但这根本没完&br&&br&
拍下来下一个Asian American Group是哪个，排名第47的马来西亚裔.....明白了么，除了夏威夷土著，从20位以后都是White American了...&br&&b&&u&
所以收入前50的族裔（美国一共有143个族裔，所以这是前1/3），有40个是White American，7个是Asian American，3个是Pacific Islands American....&br&&/u&&/b&&b&&u& 前1/3的族裔里面，80%是White American......&br&&img data-rawheight=&198& data-rawwidth=&194& src=&/669aae0be41037c34baefa3a8c8e7392_b.jpg& class=&content_image& width=&194&&&br&&br&&/u&&/b&4——那是不是说，亚裔内部经济差距很大？&br&&br&
是的，亚裔里面经济地位最高的很明显是印度裔，以致于其拉高了亚裔10,000美元的收入；&br&
其次是华裔、日裔、菲律宾裔等，和很多优秀移民族裔（伊朗裔、利比亚裔、俄罗斯裔）一样，有一定的经济优势&br&
最后是广大亚裔贫民，马来西亚裔和印度尼西亚裔还稍微有一定的经济水平，韩裔基本是美国平均水平，缅甸裔则比拉美裔还惨&br&&br&5—— &b&&u&亚裔重视教育？这可以解释什么或无法解释什么吗&/u&&/b&？&br&&br&
是的，亚裔重视教育，尤其是亚裔最成功的印度裔和台湾裔，其大学以上的学历（bachelor and advance
degrees）分别是是80%和74%，&b&&u&这是可以解释亚裔的成功的一个原因&/u&&/b&&br&
亚裔的平均水平推测是44%（Educational attainment among Asian ethnicity 2010 census），而美国平均水平则为28%，亚裔大大领先美国平均水平。&br&我们华裔约为50%。由于不同的族裔囊括方法下会导致数据冲突，有的显示包括台湾裔情况下华裔约为50.2%，有的则显示不包括的情况下有51.8%。&br&
一个反面例子，亚裔中教育水平比较差的缅甸裔就经济水平比较差。&br&&br&&b&&u&但是教育无法解释亚裔内部族群收入相差过大很多现象&/u&&/b&，因为南亚裔一直重视教育——南亚移民是亚裔中教育水平最高的族群。巴基斯坦裔在2000年其比例已经达到了60.9%（没有2010年的数据，我推测在65%左右），但其当下的收入则仅仅为￥54,000（72名）；韩裔其受高等教育比例约为50.8%，高于亚裔平均水平,而收入仅仅为$53,000（84名）。&br&
而日裔的教育水平仅仅排在亚裔的中等偏上，约为47%，收入却高达$66,000；但教育水平和日裔相近的孟加拉裔，则竟然只有$46,000(排在114名）&br&&br&第二点，我实际上认为这意味着一种，教育投资的收益过低的情况出现了——教育本质上是一种投资，教育在经济角度看是一种长期的投资回报，例如美国方面的数据，接受高等教育的人收入大大高于高中教育的人。&br&而倘若Asian American要平均用40%的高等教育比例才能赚取64,000美元，相比下Non-Hispanic White则只用30.8%赚取60,000美元，那么我认为这意味着&b&&u&亚裔的教育投资回报是过低的&/u&&/b&——&b&&u&因为各种种族壁垒，使得亚裔的高等教育投资只能得到更少的经济回报。&br&这恰恰证明了亚裔是弱势群体，要依靠高昂的教育投资来赚取少量的未来收入提升回报。&/u&&/b&&br&&br&Ps：都排除了印度裔和拉美裔的影响，排除了印度裔后，Asian American 高等教育比例大约为40%或者更低；排除拉美裔的白人有相关统计数据，即Non-Hispanic White，约为30.8%&br&&br&&br&&br&&br&6——华裔是因为有19世纪的劳工才收入被拉低的？&br&&br&
不是，华裔和印度裔主体都是战后移民的&img data-rawheight=&245& data-rawwidth=&365& src=&/dd8ee155de5d78a2acc5f7_b.png& class=&content_image& width=&365&&&br&&img data-rawheight=&466& data-rawwidth=&204& src=&/b40f_b.png& class=&content_image& width=&204&&直到1950年前，华裔也只有10万人以下，这说明华裔的早期移民的后代数量较少，不会超过10万人。而现在华裔高达400万人左右，这部分人口无法解释超过2%的人口&br&&br&7——印度裔英语好？&br&首先澄清一个常见的误解，印度裔英语好是因为是因为印度“母语”是英语。&br&印度裔官方语言（office language，印度有24个官方语言）是英语，但是印度的母语（native language）不是英语，英语实际上是第二外语（English Second Language，ESL）&br&实际上生活中印度人不使用英语，英语作为官方语言，主要是用于政府文书和教学等全国统一性的用途上；而在生活相关的领域，例如媒体，统计只有7%是使用英语。&br&&br&
但印度人英语很好，印度人托福考分为91分，位居亚洲第二（仅次于新加坡）；而中国近十年一直徘徊在77分，&b&&u&中国的英语教育需要大大的加强&/u&&/b&。但在雅思中，印度和中国分数都偏低，印度只有6.0而中国只有5.3。但印度的口语得分一直是很高，中国人的英语是名副其实的“哑巴英语”。&br&&br&&b&&u&最后说个题外话，我认为中国人有必要好好学习英语&/u&&/b&，尤其是考虑到中文已经没有任何可能取代英语的地位。五个英语主体国家的经济总量高达25万亿，其次印度也在崛起（一般认为2025年会取代日本成为第三大经济体），考虑到要进行商业交易或者学术研究，都有必要学习好英语

ordered some oats from Smith. The sample oats that Smith showed Hughes were green oats. When Smith delivered part of the green oats Hughes refused to pay, claiming that he only wanted old oats to feed the horses. Smith sued Hughes for breach of contract.&br&老师：What did the court say?&br&学生E：the court said at page 607 that &If, whatever a man's real intention may be, he so conducts himself that a reasonable man would believe that he was assenting to the terms proposed by the other party, and that other party upon that belief enters into the contract with him, the man thus conducting himself would be equally bound as if he had intended to agree to the other party's terms.&&br&老师：How did this principle apply to the case?&br&学生F: In this case, from a reasonable person's point of view, when someone saw the green oat, and purchased some oats, without specifying that he wanted old oats instead, there is no way to tell that the buyer subjectively intended to buy old oats. Rather, it is reasonable to assume that the buyer wanted to buy what he saw. This would be in line with the principle of sales of goods by sample, if the sample truly represents the the bulk, as Justice Blackburn correctly pointed out at page 606.&br&老师：What is your view on this case? 谢邀么么哒。楼主13年底考的雅思，当时是大三、非英专，第一次就考到8还挺惊喜的，听说读写是8.5, 7.5, 8, 7。上面的建议其实已经挺全面的了，楼主就结合一下自身经验简单说说看。&br&&br&楼主的基础还不错，复习时间大概1-2个月，主要复习材料是剑桥6-9的试题，一开始是把写作和其他部分分开练习，先提升阅读的速度，不然感觉好心累啊。然后练了几份感觉阅读速度达到考试要求了，再合起来模拟考试。而且每次练习的时候都尽量安排在周末的早上，和真实考试同一时段，这样传说比较容易让大脑适应真实考试。&br&其他辅助资料有：十天突破的写作和口语，十天突破的写作完整真题库与6-9分范文，还有一本环雅李宁出的写作词汇及真题素材大全。还有楼主看了一下雅思官方出的对口语要求的视频，记得是词汇、逻辑、发音这几个方面吧；还看了官方的高分口语视频。&br&&br&听力：&br&其实听力复习的精髓在楼主心里一直只有一个：一定要改错题，不然就是白听。楼主做了剑桥6-9的试题，每一次模拟凡有错误一定会返回听，直到找到原因，知道自己到底是连读没听出来还是有生词，同时对照答案的文本查看。一开始错题比较多，慢慢就会减少的。&br&&br&阅读：&br&一开始练习的时候楼主最大的问题是速度比较慢，老是超时。对的，每一次练习都尽量要计时噢。然后后来先看题干再看内容，并且用关键词定位之后就快了挺多，终于可以再规定时间内答完。阅读错题的意义主要在于熟悉雅思的出题和答题逻辑……尤其是有些T or F的题目千万不要想太多。练习多了在修正错题的过程中就能知道它的答题逻辑了。也是一个通过练习慢慢减少错误的过程。&br&&br&口语：&br&首先，口语建议大家考前能够有几次和外教模拟考试的训练，现在到网上找这种prep课程也挺多挺便宜的，putclub, italki都有。主要是模拟考试的紧张感，习惯那种和人交流时思考的速度和说话的感觉。如果是朋友们自己练习的话可能不太紧张，而且也无法给出比较好的纠正。楼主大概练习了4次左右吧，慢慢从一开始不会掰到最后能够比较流畅地撑时间了。如果基础比较不好的话，需要花更多时间积累语法句型什么的。&br&&br&其次，楼主考试之前看了刘薇的预测，感觉虽然题多，但是还是有借鉴意义的。楼主当时平常有课准备时间也比较紧张，主要就是看分类题目有没有一些是从来没有过思路的。比如描述人、物、事件、电视剧什么的，各个话题有空时尽量都想一想，做到能够覆盖。楼主复习的前期时候看了十天突破的话题归纳，很快就可以看完，大概了解一下答题思路；还看了一点 雅思考官口语实战指导，略读，了解考官的评分标准（词汇、逻辑、语音）和学生考试的时候常犯的错误。&br&&br&再次，值得提醒的一点是，不要忽略那些看似傻逼的预测题...楼主当时看到当月part 2预测题是TV program，觉得啊这么简单的题肯定不会碰上。。。结果就碰上了，答得也木有什么新意，失落了一下。还看到当月part 1预测题是do you like sunny days什么的，觉得啊这么纯的题目肯定也不会碰上，结果就碰到了。。。&br&&br&再再次，借用楼主一个雅思8.5的朋友的建议：口语部分最重要的是交流，以顺畅为第一要义，千万不要被交流以外的东西扰乱了。这并不是说词汇啊发音不重要，而是说当你真正考试的时候，词汇、发音已经属于固定的不能提升的范畴了，那时就不要再想这些，而是要想把考官当成初见的陌生人或者朋友一样来交流。&br&&br&最后，分享一下考试的经验吧。楼主当时part 1考试的时候还去想一些高级词汇啊啥的，觉得好心累，考官可能听得也不爽，后来就想到啥说啥了，当然尽量得有逻辑（最简单的逻辑就是第一第二第三啦，或者是分社会、经济、文化等等方面这种的）。然后part 2楼主是说到考官打断为止，楼主当时的题目就是最喜欢的TV program，然后说了个相亲节目……然后又讨论了一下利弊。印象很深的是本来想说“作秀”，但是怎么也想不出高级的说法，于是就用了简单的fake their feelings之类的。所以平常有空时还是多积累一些话题的常用替换词吧。最后part3考官就问楼主认为现在中国的CCTV咋样……楼主就回答说不好啊，因为话题比较正经，没有照顾到年轻群众的需求blabla，考官附和点点头，感觉还比较满意吧。所以从现在来看，楼主觉得答题有时候还是要有一些个人的体验，可以借鉴一些模板的答题思路，但是不要照搬，自己有想说的话就表达自己的观点就好。如果楼主现在答的话，可能会说CCTV总是通过总局禁播其他台的综艺来发展自己的事业吧，比如极限挑战什么的；另外一个点可以说最近很火的BBC Chinese school，来比较中英的官媒的区别，感觉英媒显然更关注现实民生和解决办法，也更大胆一些。说这些主要是想建议烤鸭们可以答出自己的特色，这些特色不是独辟蹊径，而是要结合个人平常阅读的input来决定的，这样考官听起来也会比较开心吧，不是千篇一律的答案。&br&&br&写作：&br&写作也建议一定要模考，训练自己在规定时间内写完。第一部分写作要注意高级词汇的替换，这个和口语里面注意流畅度的要求就不同了。楼主当时看了三本书，一本是十天突破写作，一本是环球雅思李宁的剑桥雅思写作词汇及真题素材大全，一本是十天突破写作真题6-9分。第一本是基础了解，几天就可以看完；第二本精读，积累高级词汇和结构，part1的词汇替换很重要，比如“提升”“占比”等等必备词汇的替换用法，part 2要广撒网了，不同话题的词汇都需要积累；第三本选着读，因为楼主时间不够，然后就专门看高分的范文，知道高分写作是什么结构和风格，还可以借鉴一些好的开头和结尾，比如as倒装啊什么的楼主考试就用到了。然后楼主当时考试前一天晚上挑了一道剑9的自己不太熟悉的language的题目来写，结果第二天正式考试的题目也是language的范畴，所以建议大家一定要模考啊，哈哈。&br&另外，作文模考之后可以让老师或者考过高分的朋友看一下，大概知道自己有什么不足，也可以有个分数的心理预期。&br&&br&嗯，最后总结一下精简版的复习建议吧。&br&听力要至少每周做1-3篇，每次半小时到一小时，听力纯靠练习就好，错的题目要翻到原文查看是哪里听错了或者没听出来。&br&阅读的练习频率和听力相同，时间尽量控制在50min左右，找出错误的地方挖掘技巧。主要是速度要提上去。&br&写作建议每个话题的词汇要掌握高级的或替换词汇。一共也就十个话题左右而且词汇互相有重叠。&br&口语，以顺畅为第一要义，建议模考。说满时间，逻辑通顺。结合刘薇的口语预测。&br&&br&就是酱。祝大家都能有满意的好分数吧~
