For the Mn-free hjghi strength alloys, the value of K will be decreased no more apparently only if the Zr content ≥0.18%, while for the Mn-bearing medium strength alloys, the value of K tends to be stable only if the Zr content≥0.23%.3. Mn addition is bad for weldability. The weld cracking sensitivity K of Mn-bearing alloys usually is, therefore, about 5-10 units greater than that of Mn-free alloys.4. Regression analysis of experimental results shows that the influence of Zr on the welding crack of both the high and medium strength alloys obeys an exponential function Y=AeB/X. Fig, 3 and 4 show that the experimental points coincide with-the regression .curves with the correlation coefficients approaching 1.
