RClamp2504N & RClamp3304NPROTECTION PRODUCTS - RailClamp?DescriptionA RailClamp?is a low capacitance TVS array designedto protect high speed data interfaces. This series hasbeen specifically designed to protect sensitive compo-nents which are connected to data and transmissionlines from overvoltage caused byESD(electrostaticdischarge),CDE(Cable Discharge Events), andLight-ning.The unique design incorporates surge rated, lowcapacitance steering diodes and a TVS diode in asingle package. During transient conditions, thesteering diodes direct the transient current to ground.The internal TVS diode clamps the transient voltage toa safe level. The low capacitance array configurationallows the user to protect up to four high-speed datalines.The RClampTM3304N and RClampTM2504N are con-structed using Semtech’s proprietary EPD processtechnology. The EPD process provides low stand-offvoltages with significant reductions in leakage currentand capacitance over silicon-avalanche diode pro-cesses. They feature a true operating voltage of 2.5volts and 3.3 volts for superior protection.These devices are in a 10-pin, RoHS/WEEE compliant,SLP2626P10 package. It measures 2.6 x 2.6 x0.60mm. The leads are spaced at a pitch of 0.5mmand are finished with lead-free NiPdAu. The high surgecapability (Ipp=25A, tp=8/20us) means it can be usedin high threat environments in applications such asGigabit Ethernet, telecommunication lines, and digitalvideo.RailClamp?2.5V & 3.3V TVS ArraysFeaturesTransient protection for high-speed data lines toIEC
