für Familienurlaub auf der Insel Koh Samui ist der
Maenam (auch Mae Nam) Strand. Maenam Beach liegt im Nordwesten von Koh Samui und ist einer der ursprünglichsten Str?nde der Insel, man wohnt hier noch sehr ruhig, obwohl auch hier in den letzten Jahren viel in den Tourismus investiert wurde. Es gibt viele neue, teils idyllische in dichten Palmenhainen liegende Bungalow und Hotelanlagen. Maenam ist sehr ruhig, ein
idealer Ort für Romantiker, ideal für Flitterwochen oder frisch verliebte. Der fast 5 Kilometer lange Maenam Strand ist sauber,
der mittlere und westliche Strandabschnitt ist zum Baden auch für Kinder bestens geeignet.&

Strand von Maenam findet man zahlreiche Hotels und Bungalowanlagen mit Wellness Angeboten direkt am goldgelben Sandstrand.
Der Strand mit meist azurblauen Wasser ist ideal zum Sonnenbaden und
Schnorcheln am parallel laufenden Maenam Korallenriff.&
Einige Tauchschulen und eine Kitesurf Schule haben sich hier angesiedelt,
besonders von November bis Dezember kann man hier
auch gut Windsurfen.&In Maenam befindet sich
ausserdem der 18-Loch-Championship Santiburi Golfplatz mit
herrlichen Blick über das Meer.
Der Ort Ban Mae-Nam selbst ist ein altes traditionelles Fischerdorf mit über 70 Jahre alten Holzh?usern und Gesch?ften, ein
sehenswerter Spaziergang durch das Dorf.&Am
Pier von Maenam fahren auch Boote zu den Inseln Koh Phangan oder Koh Tao.&
Preiswerte und gute Thai Restaurants findet man direkt am Strand (Cafe
Talay) und in Dorf Ban Maenam welche Currys, Fisch- Saefood- und Fleischgerichte anbieten.
