说到练习口语，除了传统的多听多读，看书自学，上培训班之外，大家最多想到的另外一条给人无限期待和向往的途径便是：找个老外聊天。但问题是，除却&我身边有个老外&这个虚荣之外，如何才能真正有效的与他们交谈，以提升自己的英语思维方式和口语技能呢....。。
1.敢于提出自己的真实观点
我发现一个很有意思的情形：一个中国人一个外国人走在一起，不管外国人说什么中国人都当成至理名言一般&认真倾听&，对话中用的最多的就是&Yes/je&这个词，与其说是附和，不如说是一种逃避，逃避着用英语发表自己见解所可能造成的语无伦次。
我建议大家一定要放下包袱，敢于在老外面前&严肃&地用英语提出自己独到的观点和见解，同时&逼&着自己找出两条以上的理由来支撑。如果觉得说的不好，也不用着急，回去慢慢想，再说一遍，争取下次说好就可以了。交谈话题可以涉及方方面面。另外千万不要害怕对方向你问&why&，正是通过这个过程，具体说理和细节展开能力才会得到提高。
2.需要学习地道的语音语调，节奏停顿
在日常会话中我们发现外国人的表达其实并不复杂，但听着却显得层次分明，原因便在于他们作为native speaker地道的语音和自然的节奏停顿。我们总是习惯于将中文语境下的停顿迁移到英语中，但真正能够说好英语，需要的是英语语境下的恰当停顿，这点是我们最需要模仿和学习的。
3.调整价值观：也谈如何面对外国人
很多同学在面对雅思考官时的紧张，除却主观的语言障碍和心理因素之外，与外国人之间一种莫名的&隔膜&，也是我们无法放开的原因。
我发现周围很多朋友面对外国人，依旧是以一种&景仰&的姿态把他们视作&宾客&，说起话来小心翼翼，即使开个玩笑也显得僵硬死板。我们大可不必如此，完全可以把与他们的对话视作平凡生活中的一部分，把他们当作普通人，随意聊，不想睬他们就把他们晾在一边，总之不要客套。
另外，与一个外国人一起说话，也不是什么值得炫耀虚荣的事情，是时候放下一些固有的价值观和偏见，这样才能真正觉得放松随意。只有平凡普通，而不是故作轻松的氛围下，才能让自己安安心心的交流和说话。我相信除却勤奋艰苦的语言训练，面对外国人真正发自内心的&放松与平等&，同样能够间接提高你说英语口语时的自信和流利度。
