Turn your stereo or home theater into a music streaming system.
Use a BRIDGE/BOOST if you’re worried about your home WiFi performance or you want to wirelessly connect PLAYBAR to SUB and rear speakers.
Connecting any Sonos player to your router with an Ethernet cable automatically creates a dedicated Sonos wireless network.
Any player (PLAY:1, PLAY:3, PLAY:5, PLAYBAR, CONNECT, CONNECT:AMP) or a BRIDGE or a BOOST can make this hard-wired connection. A dedicated Sonos network is ideal when your WiFi isn’t reliable in your home.&
HOME THEATER
It is also required to wirelessly connect PLAYBAR to SUB and rear speakers. Sonos requires a dedicated Sonos network to add SUB or rear speaker to PLAYBAR. If your PLAYBAR (or other Sonos speaker) is near your home internet router, you can connect it directly to your router with an ethernet cable. If you want to place your PLAYBAR or speaker in a different room, you’ll need to connect a BRIDGE or BOOST or another Sonos speaker to your router to expand your home theater.&
The PLAY:1, PLAY:3 AND PLAY:5 can easily be setup as a stereo pair, using the controller app.

Sonos Radio powered by TuneIn presents an aggregated collection of the world’s radio stations. Over 50,000 channels from every corner of the earth. Plus live and on-demand radio shows from around the world - all streaming direct to Sonos players throughout your house for free.

The PLAY:5, CONNECT, and CONNECT:AMP each have an analog line input. Anytime you have an external source, such as a TV or CD player, connected to one unit in our system, that external source can be played throughout the entire system. Specifically, it shows up as an option under the line-in category of the music menu, and can be selected for playback in any room with a Sonos player.&

The CONNECT:AMP is designed for a single pair of speakers

The Connect: Amp is designed for a single pair of speakers- it is a stereo amplifier, right and left channel.
However, if your speakers are rated at 8 ohms, you can wire up to 2 pairs, or 4 speakers, to one Connect: Amp- you just won’t have independent control between those two pairs of speakers, in terms of volume and music selection.&
Already have a stereo? Use the CONNECT. Just speakers? The CONNECT:AMP is all you need.
The CONNECT is an un-amplified unit designed to run into an existing amplifier or receiver as a music source. You simply run an audio cable from an output on the CONNECT into an input on your existing equipment. The CONNECT has both digital and analog outputs, as well as a line-level input.&
CONNECT:AMP
The CONNECT:AMP has a built-in amplifier, and drives passive speakers directly via speaker wire. The amplifier inside of the CONNECT:AMP is a 110 watt stereo amplifier which puts out 55 watts per channel. The CONNECT:AMP is designed to power a single pair of speakers, but it can power a maximum of two pairs so long as the speakers are rated at 8 ohms.&

Sonos发布全新串流音乐服务 可带来CD级音质
Sonos日前为旗下多房间扬声器系统推出了一项全新的音乐串流服务，名为Deezer Elite。这项服务的最大特点是能够提供CD品质的串流音乐，从而将Sonos扬声器的能力发挥到最大限度。
大多数支持Sonos扬声器的串流服务，比如Spotify和Pandora，最高都只有MP3音质。我们也都知道，为了方便存储和串流，歌曲的原始录音会被转换成MP3文件，但这个过程会造成大量的数字信息丢失，因此音质也会受到一定程度的影响。
从理论上讲，Deezer Elite的串流音乐品质应该会比同类型服务好得多，据称可以达到16位/44.1kHz的保真度，这也就使其达到了和CD唱片相同的水平。由于这也是Sonos扬声器能够处理的最高水平，因此它应该可以发挥出这些产品的最大潜力。
但值得注意的是，Sonos将这项服务称作是&高解析度（High Definition）&存在一定的误导性。关注过高端音频设备（比如Neil Young的Pono Player以及 索尼 的NEZ-A17 Walkman）的用户对于另一个短语&&高分辨率（High Resolution）音频一定不会陌生。后者所描述的是超越CD品质的音频，通常是24位/48kHz或以上的解析度。
高分辨率音频在理论上应该能够提供优于CD的音频品质，如今的音频产业也正在从低品质的MP3逐渐向高分辨率音频文件上转移，来提供更加出色的用户体验。但是，高解析度音频是一个宽泛的概念，虽然看似和高分辨率音频很相似，但它的定义并不是那么精确。
但无论如何，Deezer Elite所能提供的音乐串流品质肯定是在其他同类型服务之上的，这也将体现出Sonos扬声器的最大价值。
据悉，Deezer Elite将在本月15日于美国展开测试，用户可以获得30天的免费体验。但这项服务未来的收费政策目前还并未公布。

Deezer创建于2006年，原名Blogmusik。它近年来发展迅速，曾在去年野心勃勃地宣布进军200个国家的计划（好玩的是，这200个国家里居然不包括美国），而最近刚刚开始进入亚洲。
Deezer融资进度
法国《费加罗报》日前报道称，法国流媒体音乐服务Deezer日前从华纳音乐母公司Access Industries处获得了1亿欧元（1.3亿美元）的融资，并将于今日在伦敦召开新闻发布会。
到目前为止，Deezer现有投资者包括IDInvest Partners、CM-CIC Capital Prive、Xavier Niel和Dotcorp Asset Management。

《费加罗报》称，Deezer获得的C轮融资1亿欧元中，有2500万欧元用来向现有股东回购股权，其余资金用来推出新的产品界面以及&全球业务拓展、本地化编辑和音乐发现&。
这笔资金的投资人是华纳音乐集团的母公司AccessIndustries。虽然这笔资金的具体情况还未被公布，但据其公司和所谓的投资者透露，这份融资消息还是十分可靠的。

Deezer已成功在91个地区开拓在线市场，去年它宣布在 200 个国家的发布计划，而最近它准备开始进军亚洲。Deezer需要一笔额外的资金来推动其拓张计划，同时该公司又是一个音乐节的赞助商。
最近几年该公司与Facebook和Orange合作，推动了其订阅服务的发展。该公司声称，它的网站目前已达2600万名用户，每月至少600万名访客（不重复累计），而其中付费用户就有150万名。
