Responsibilities:- Independent work in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria- Understands the standard engineering work planning, scheduling and cost estimating- Provides technical direction and assigns work to engineers, designers, and drafters who assist on specific assignments. Be able to devise new approaches to solving problems- Up- to-date knowledge of computer applications to engineering and design- A broad knowledge of the application of engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials- A good knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to the CSA discipline. Demonstrated skills in oral and written communicationRequirements:- Bachelor degree in relevant discipline- 6-10 years design experience in petrochemical /chemical/ pharmaceutical or related industry facility- Be familiar with both International and National Codes & Standards- Experience in international engineering company is preferred- National Registered Engineer is preferred- Fluent speaking and writing in English

Civil structure condition assessment by FE model updating:: methodology and case studies, , , ,
School of Civil and Structural Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Nanyang Avenue, Singapore 639798, SingaporeDevelopment of methodology for accurate and reliable condition assessment of civil structures has become increasingly important. In particular, the finite element (FE) model updating method has been successfully used for condition assessment of bridges. However, the success of applications of the method depends on the analytical conceptualization of complex bridge structures, a well-designed and controlled modal test and an integration of analytical and experimental arts. This paper describes the sensitivity-analysis-based FE model updating method and its application to structure condition assessment with particular reference to bridges, including specific considerations for FE modeling for updating and the model updating procedure for successful condition assessment.
