OCEANOLOGIA ET LIMNOLOGIA SINICA is sponsored by the Chinese Society forDeeanology and Linmology and pubished by Science Press (Beijing). Its pubication commenced in1957. 提要 详细分析了国内外深海沉积物分类与命名现状,迄今为止深海沉积物分类与命名问题没有很好解决。在调查研究南海、太平洋深海沉积物分类与命名基础上,提出了分类简便、
科学合理、量化的深海沉积物分类与命名新方法,应用该方法得出南海东部海域深海沉积物有:深海粘土、硅质粘土、钙质粘土、硅钙质粘土、钙质软泥、粘土质钙质软泥、粘土质-硅质钙质软泥、粘土-硅质-钙质混合软泥、粘土质硅质-钙质混合软泥、钙质硅质-粘土混合软泥。这10种沉积物基本上客观地反映了南海东部海域深海沉积物分布的实际情况,分类效果良好。关键词 深海沉积物,分类与命名,新方法中图分类号 P731
深海沉积物(deep-seasediment)一般是指沉积在深而开阔大洋底部沉积物,水深一般&2000m,深海沉积物主要由海洋生物遗骸、自生沉积、风成尘、火山灰、宇宙尘、陆源粘土胶体和冰筏碎屑组成。深海沉积物分类与命名迄今在国内外没有根本性解决,每当需要对深海沉积物分类与命名时,都是采取临时性研究或套用某种分类法。我国的南极和南大洋地质调查研究、北极地质考查、太平洋多金属结核资源调查研究、国家专项海洋地质地球物理调查项目、深海钻探计划(DSDP)、大洋钻探计划(ODP)等国内外大型地质调查研究项目,都采用非统一规范的深海沉积物分类与命名,其结果是分类与命名不统一、资料难对比。以南海为例,国内一些比较著名的海洋地质调查研究机构和学者对南海深海沉积物分类与命名都不相同(中国科学院南海海洋研究所,1985;朱而勤等,1986;李粹中,1987;苏广庆等,1992)。本文中作者对国内外不同研究机构对深海沉积物分类与命名进行全面分析对比后,提出深海沉积物三角图解
分类与命名法。
1 国内外有关研究机构提出的深海沉积物分类与命名
111 中国科学院南海海洋研究所(1985)
中国科学院南海海洋研究所年在南海东北部海区进行了海洋学综合调查(中国科学院南海海洋研究所,1985;中国科学院南海海洋研究所编辑,1985),研究报告中对沉积物分类与命名采用的原则是:以沉积物的粒度类型为基础,结合沉积物的生物、矿物、化学特征,从沉积物的成因观点综合分析,将南海东北部沉积物分为陆源碎屑沉积、生源-陆源沉积、自生-陆源沉积和火山-陆源沉积四种沉积共11种沉积物类型。
(1)陆源沉积(5种):含贝壳砂、砂-粉砂-粘土、含生物屑和砾石的中细砂、含粘土和生物屑的细砂、含粉砂的细砂;
(2)生源-陆源沉积(3种):有孔虫-粉砂-软泥、含有孔虫-放射虫的粉砂质软泥、放射虫软泥;
