Nearly 2000 individuals of the flying fish Hirundichthys affinis (Günther) were tagged with plastic Lea tags during the summers of
and 1963 in the vicinity of Barbados, W.I. The returns of tagged fish indicate daily movements in a circular pattern to the west
of the island. It is suggested that schools of flying fish drift with currents which may form large-scale eddies on the leeward side of Barbados.

Direction Sensor Coverage Enhancement Based on Artificial Fish-Swarm Optimization

In order to enhance area coverage rate of wireless multimedia sensor network,a coverage enhancement algorithm based on artificial fish-swarm optimization is proposed.Based on 3D direction sensing model,the algorithm can optimize direction angle valand network coverage can be improved by decreasing coverage overlap.Simulations test indicates that this method can improve coverimpact of sensor parameters on coverage rate is analyzed,analysis result shows that coverage rate of optimized network is more approximate to the ideal coverage rate.
