什么是机械表?用通俗的说法，机械表即：不是电子的，不用更换电池，从而也就不用担心没电。单从外观而言，大部分时候一眼便可以区分机械表和石英表，因为石英表的走时秒针是一格一跳，机械表走时是连续不间断地走。它的走时靠的是内部精密的机械装置，需要上弦提供所需动力来保证走时的精准。而精准度，当然没有石英表更加精细些，机械表的误差为会按天来说的，好的机械表日常佩戴是没有任何影响的。有一种爱表叫——机械“情节”男人天生对机械有一种特别的钟爱，所以对机械表便有一种情结在：机械的滴答所带来内心的感动，想必女人是无法理解的。有一位钟表藏家便说过，他就喜欢夜深人静的时候，仔细聆听钟表的机械质感所带来的滴答声，一天的疲惫瞬间消失殆尽，一种极大的满足之感在空气里升腾。自动机芯，有摆陀，金色半月形部分手动与自动之分机械表分为自动款与手动款，手动款顾名思义需要人手亲自上链，需要在手表的动力释放完之前给手表手动上链，以确保正常走势;自动款原则上无须手动上链，只要每天正常的手腕活动来提供充足的动力，相对来说比手动款要便捷一些。区分手动款与自动款非常简单，看表背的机芯有没有摆陀，呈半月形离心状，晃动手表，它是可以随之摆动的。手动腕表，表背没有摆陀机械表的“麻烦”之处机械表另一个“麻烦”之处是上链，就手动腕表而言，好多人认为上链是个特别大的难题，稍不留意，就会忘记或是由于不会操作或是不敢“下手”导致手表罢工。当然，自动款也不是一劳永逸，因为每个人每天手腕活动情况不同，自动表得需要佩戴一定的时间，否则会因手部活动不够，发条盒动力储存不足而造成停走，停走时也是需要手动上链来为手有提供动力，才能够保证它正常运转。上链过程听起来是否觉得还是麻烦，但是有些人却很享受这种上链过程所带来的快感甚至是成就感，当然也有的人担心上链过满是否会导致发条扯断而不敢动手，其实不然，于手动上链而言，在正常情况下，每天早上起床后上满，在一天的24小时中，从上满的那一刻起，能量就处于一个逐渐减少的过程中;而自动上链，除了睡觉，在其它的正常活动期间，发条是一直处在不断上链的过程中，而且你根本不用担心过度的运动令其能量过满，它有特别的保护装置确保发条不会断。机芯的选择对于机械表的选择，更多是因人而异，通常来源分为大陆生产，日本产，瑞士产（ETA为经典代表作），如果短期为了性价比，通常会日本机械机芯，如果为了戴出自己品味，自然会考虑经久耐用，因此首选瑞士ETA机械机芯。其他的，呵呵......，只能见仁见智了！
