Sorry for any inconvenience caused.&/strong&&br&&br&工作中总不乏要出各种失误和错误。但是不建议跟客户“直截了当”地道歉（在日企/日本人客户除外），比如&I apologize for ...
& 或者&It is my mistake that... &。 这是因为你一旦如此明显的道歉，那么如果出了问题就是你的责任，就是你公司的责任。尤其对于从事咨询行业的你来说，这一点是比较致命的。&br&&br&所以如果你出了小差错（比如发错邮件、搞错时间地点、文件里有地方写错等等），那么最好的方式就是再发一个邮件加以纠正，结尾加上 &Sorry for any inconvenience caused&.

internet&/i&&/b&&/p&&p&This
section needs to detail how the information for the report was obtained and any
limitations. The place to start is in your own head. How much do you already
know about the topic? Write everything down.&/p&&p&Use
the library. Not just the internet. There are books, magazines, newspapers, and
staff to help you. Take notes and organise the information in a folder.&/p&&p&Remember
to write down all the information about any book or web site, etc. for the
bibliography: &b&&i&author, title, date published, publisher and place published &/i&&/b&(see
Appendix B of this report).&/p&&p&&b&&u&Note taking skills&/u&&/b& are necessary when reading
information and you must &b&&u&summarise&/u&&/b&
much of that information.&/p&&br&5.
Detailed Findings&p&&b&The
largest section of the report&/b& – it will contain all the information and analysis,
including tables, charts and diagrams.&/p&&p&The
body must be divided into &b&&u&logical
sections and subsections with headings identical to those in the Table of
Contents.&/u&&/b&&/p&&p&It
will include headings and sub-headings which reflect the contents of each
section.&/p&&p&Although
a report starts with a synopsis do not start writing it until AFTER you finish
the introduction, body and conclusion in that order.&/p&&p&&b&5.1 FIRST DRAFT&/b&&/p&&p&Divide
the body of the report into headings and subheadings, so each section can be
written on its own. This makes the task seem easier.&/p&&p&Use
the passive voice (revise this section &i&of
English on Cue, Module 5&/i&). Use short sentences and simple, formal language.
Include pictures if you want to make it more interesting e.g. ”Diagram 2 shows
that……”&/p&&p&Use
your computer’s spell check and print preview where possible. Plan the pages
carefully. Careless layout will lose marks. Check grammar and punctuation. &/p&&p&When
referencing a book, etc. in your writing remember quoting directly must use
quotation marks e.g. “There are many reasons why people visit Australia…..”
(Smith 2012).&/p&&p&Indirect
quotes (paraphrasing): Smith (2012) says there are many different reasons
people want to visit Australia.&/p&&p&Save
two copies: one on your computer and one on a USB. Lost work means starting
again.&/p&&p&&b&5.2 SECOND DRAFT&/b&&/p&&p&Producing
the second draft is not hard once your first draft of the report is edited,
typed and saved.&/p&&br&&br&&br&6.
Conclusion and Recommendations&p&This is a summary of the
main findings of the report, especially those that are
for the reader/client.&/p&&p&&b&Conclusion
&/b&should
tell what the detailed findings mean for the reader/client in relation to the
scope of the report or research objectives.&/p&&p&The
&b&recommendations&/b& should list the
action that you recommend should be taken based on these conclusions.&/p&&p&&b&6.1 CONCLUSION&/b&&/p&&p&It
is hoped this guide will benefit students in at least two ways. Firstly, to
give a step by step method to report writing. Secondly, it is to be used as an
example of report writing.&/p&&p&The
process of report writing is obviously a long and complex one. Each step should
be completed before moving on to the next one. Do NOT put off starting to
research and write just because it is difficult.&/p&&p&Make
sure the information in the report is relevant to the topic and discusses the
