短文改错，是当前高中英语考试中得分率普遍较低的题型，主要考查同学们发现、判断、纠正文章中错误以及在语篇中综合运用英语知识准确性的能力，对大家词汇和语法知识的记忆与理解的准确度有较高的要求。
做好短文改错的核心显然是发现错误，当然，错误也是有一定规律可循的。
8大常见错误
1.谓语动词的误用是历年考试的重点和热点，常见动词错误类型有：
① 一般现在时与一般过去时错用;
② and前后动词时态不一致;
③ 主谓不一致;
④ 缺少动词,特别是be动词;
⑤ 第三人称单数形式错用;
⑥ 主动语态和被动语态错用。
2.名词的误用：
单、复数名词错用，可数名词与不可数名词的错用。
3.连词的误用：
① 连词包括关系代词、副词，并列连词and/or/but等。
② 关于连词，一般考查从句关系：who/whom/whose/what/
which/how/why/when/where/if/whether等。
4.冠词的误用：
① 误用a和an(根据单词的第一个音素来判定);
② 误用a/an和the(固定搭配，或泛指、特指；多冠词或少冠词)
5.形容词和副词的误用：
① 系动词后用形容词 (be/am/is/are/was/were/become/go/感官性动词smell/feel) ;
② 词性的误用(形容词修饰名词;副词修饰动词、形容词)。
6.代词的误用：
① 代词的主格和宾格 (I/he/ she/we/ they/them) 的错用;
② 反身代词 (myself/yourself/himself/herself/
themselves/ourselves) 的使用错误;
③ 代词的单数和复数的使用错误;
④ 代词指代错误;
⑤ 多代词或少代词。
7.非谓语动词的误用：
① 不定式、动名词作主语、宾语时;
② and连接的不定式或动名词前后不一致(尤其距离较远时);
③ 介词后用动名词形式作宾语;
④ 某些动词后要求接动名词或不定式。
8.介词的误用：
① 词组中的介词误用;
② 介词意思理解偏差;
③ 介词的多用或少用。
具体答题时也是有套路和方法可循的，一般情况下答题过程为：通读全文，掌握大意，确定逻辑错误；逐句分析，逐句纠错，发现语法问题; 复读全文，确认答案。
1. 通读全文，对全文有宏观把控
做题时，应把改错内容当作一篇小短文来理解，对短文有个宏观把握，对上下文有全面的了解，查看行文逻辑是否一致，确定明显的逻辑错误。
2. 逐句分析，从语法角度审查
在掌握和理解全文大意的基础上，再逐句审读，分析判断，上下兼顾，从时态一致、主谓一致、指代一致、单复数一致等各个方面考查，逐句纠正语法错误。
3. 复读全文，验证答案
改完后，要回过头来重读一遍全文，查看改过后是否能使语句通顺，时态一致，合乎逻辑。再次通读可以在初改时感觉不顺的地方集中精力，仔细推敲，使答案更加准确。
下面以2017高考新课标卷短文改错真题为例作个简析：
In the summer holiday following my eighteen birthday, I took driving lessons. I still remember how hard first day was. Before getting into the car, I thought I had learned the instructor’s orders, so once I started the car, my mind goes blank. I forgot what he had said to me altogether. The instructor kept repeating the word, “Speed up!” “Slow down!” “Turning left!” I was so much nervous that I could hardly tell which direction was left. A few minutes late, the instructor asked me to stop the car. It was a relief and I came to a suddenly stop just in the middle on the road.
首先通读全文，掌握大意后，能发现并解决的问题往往是一些语义逻辑上的错误，如eighteen, so, word, late, of。
逐句理解分析所能确定的错误多集中在语法方面，如（the）first day, much(删除)，suddenly，以及最难发现的goes的时态错误和turning的句法错误。
最后一步，复读全文时统计下错误类型，尤其是漏词和删除确定无误，就大功告成了！
附：改错参考答案
eighteen改为eighteenth，first day前加the，so改but，goes改went，word改words，Turning 改Turn，much删除，late改later, suddenly改sudden，on the road介词on改of.
当然，除了在考试时可以用这些技巧提升功力，在日常学习中，同学们也要下功夫，多加训练和积累，其中，最有效的方法就是多读多背，增强语感。
只有读得多、背得多了，语感才能增强，语感好了，做起短文改错自然就会得心应手。在多读多背之外，还需要多加训练，在多练的前提下，要勤思考，多总结，这样才能提高学习效率。
