1. President Bush has apologized to war vets about the shoddy conditions at Walter Reed. He visited the flagship military hospital on Friday, six weeks after news broke about the poor medical treatment and conditions some patients had to endure. 2. Federal Health officials say tests on recalled pet foods revealed the items were contaminated with a chemical used to make plastics. Menu Foods recalled millions of containers of pet food earlier this month after reports of kidney failure in cats and dogs.3. Iran is televising another apology from one of the fifteen captured British service members. However, British Prime Minster Tony Blair says the video of the sailor's apology is not fooling anyone.4. Pope John PaulI II's bid to become a saint is getting some help from this nun. She says the late Pontiff cured her Parkinson's disease. He can't become a saint without a proven miracle. 1. On Wall Street, another volatile day. The Dow Jones Industrial is falling 733 points, the second largest point loss ever. Stocks dropped on disappointing economic news including a big drop in retail sales.

4. High above Newark, New Jersey, a high wire daredevil takes a bike-ride at 135 feet up without a net. He wants a place in the record books for the longest distance and greatest height travelled by a bike on a wire.

1. President George W Bush is warning against overcorrection--that is countries deal with the world economic crisis. Bush is in Lima to attend his 8th and final meeting of the 21-nation APEC forum.
2. Rocker Travis Barker is suing over a September plane crash that left four people dead. Barker wants more than 25,000 dollars in damages. The former Blink-182 drummer and celebrity disc jockey DJ AM were the only survivors of the accident.
3. Zimbabwe has reportedly refused entry to Jimmy Carter, Kofi Annan, and a South African human rights advocate. They were planning to assess the country's humanitarian crisis. Zimbabwe's state-run newspaper says the three have been asked to "come at a later date" to accommodate the crop-planting season.
4. And watch as this brilliant fireball lights up the western Canada sky. Several people witnessed the meteor of many colors. No one has found any fragments, but experts say it's likely some fell in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
