The STOTM club is held in Perth and is a sister event of the Last Tuesday Of The Month club which was founded in Melbourne in 2013, the First Wednesday Of The Month club in Sydney, the First Thursday Of The Month club in Canberra, the Second Wednesday Of The Month club in Brisbane and the Third Thursday Of The Month club in Adelaide.
There have been many discussions over the years about a predictable gathering for the Perth ICT and Information Security&community, the time has come.&
We welcome you to join our STOTM club. The events are invite only to maintain the numbers, and are held in Perth on the Second Thursday Of The Month - so it is easy to remember!
STOTM maintains a strong no sales stance, there will be no death by PowerPoint, we may have a brief&(10 min)&informal discussion on a topic of interest, not a sales pitch.&

11月24日，欧洲委员会（EC）正式批准其抗心衰药Entresto(sacubitril/valsartan)用于治疗射血分数（HFrEF）降低的慢性心力衰竭成年患者，患者日均用药2次。Entresto具有独特的作用模式，能显著降低心脏张力，缓解心力衰竭。
该项批准是基于一项8442名患者参与的ARADIGM-HF临床研究，结果显示与ACE抑制剂enalapril相比，Entresto能显著降低心血管死亡的风险。治疗后期，使用Entresto的患者生存率更高，因心力衰竭而住院的几率较低。安全性数据显示Entresto与enalapril的耐受性相似。该项临床研究由于效果显著而提前终止。
“与其他慢性疾病相比，那些心力衰竭的患者面临更大的死亡风险，生活质量也更低。现在我们提供了一种全新的治疗选择，这将欧洲的射血分数（HFrEF）降低患者意义重大。”诺华制药的部门主管David Epstein说。
心力衰竭是一种危机生命的心脏疾病，患者心脏无法泵出足够的血液，因而面临着高风险死亡、反复住院治疗及其他症状（如呼吸困难，疲劳，体液潴留），该病会严重影响患者寿命及生活质量。
目前欧洲已有1500万名确诊患者，并且每年还新增10000名患者，其中大约一半以上的患者都存在射血分数减少的问题。尽管该病如此普遍，还是有很多患者未能确认该症状，被误诊或是误归为老年症状。
