expression.意思：他通常是一个令人愉快得人心，但是现在一言不发，并且再多的语言都无法穿透他的木然的表情。我不明白由and连接的两个并列句为什么第一个是一般现在时态，而第二个句子中的could却变成过去时态，请高人指教，另外第一个句子是表达的一直持续到现在的一种状态吗？注：这个句子是表达的一个残疾儿童的父亲在过去的某一个时间去世后他变成如句子所说那样，请高人指教谢谢！
could表示可能性比can语气弱，也可表示现在
