指代baby的代词常是it或者which,而非him或者she。
The baby is crying,I wonder what's wrong with it.
baby boy和boy baby的表达方式都可以。前者的侧重点是指男孩还处在婴儿时代,baby起修饰词的作用,而后者的侧重点是指这个婴儿是个男孩。同原理可用的有baby girl和girl baby。需注意到是是baby brother,baby sister,baby son,baby daughter不能改为brother baby等;
Please look after baby.
baby常用it〔which〕而不用he〔she, who〕指代。
baby, boy, child, infant, lad
This child is six months old.
The boys felt amused by the clown.
The operation on the new-born infant was a failure.
He's just a lad.
He was the infant king at that time.
The baby of her family is now six years old.
a baby's car
a baby book 育婴指南
a baby's book
the baby's face
baby, humour, indulge, mollycoddle, pamper, spoil

look还可用作系动词,其后可接(to be+) n./adj. / v -ed/ prep.
look作“留心”“注意”解时,常用于look (to it)结构,其后接that从句充当it的同位语。
关于look at sth 结构,有两种分析方法,一是把look at视为及物动词, sth 是其宾语;二是把look at视为介词,而把sth 看作是介词at的宾语。
I look forward to,I am looking forward to
look for, look forward to, anticipate, expect
I expect to see some fine films during the holidays.
We anticipate that we shall hear from you again.
I think we may look for a better result next time.
I'm looking forward to your visit.
look, appear, seem
He appears to be very young.
He looks to be very young.
He seems to be very young.
It appears〔appeared〕/looks〔looked〕/seems〔seemed〕 as if...结构。但是, appear 和seem跟to- v 时仍表示“看起来”,而look 接to- v 则是“盼望”的意思。例如:
He appears〔seems〕 to know it.
He looks to hear from you.
It appears〔appeared〕/seems〔seemed〕 that...
It looks to me that he enjoys read- ing the novel.
[正] It appears〔seems〕 to me that he enjoys reading the novel.
You are looking〔look〕 very unhappy.
look, glance
She felt very nervous with so many people looking at her.
I found the child opposite looking at my red hat.
look, see, watch
We looked but saw nothing.
They are watching a TV play.
look for, discover, find, find out, invent
Whilhelm Roentgen discovered X rays.
He was amazed to find her there.
Let's try and find out what's at the back of this problems.

The accused spoke about it with an air of secrecy.(是装出来的)
The accused spoke about it with a look of secrecy.(是真情的流露)

He is looking happy.
正 He looks happy.

He looks handsome.

He looks as a monkey.
正 He looks a monkey.
