根据S,战败方对其失败有几种说辞。其中一种就是，战败方把胜方的成功----虚假的优势，而在真正算数的地方胜方处于劣势。胜方常常--这种解释，对其胜利的文化和道德损失表示担忧，故认为战败方的说辞可信。
从worrying about...和give some credence to可以看出winners对this interpretation还是赞同接受的，所以只能选择与give credence to意思相近的collude in，disregard和take issue with都表示不赞同，不可选。
解决第一个空的关键在于后面的this interpretation，显然this interpretation指代的就是the vanquished manage to-----the victor’s triumph as the result of some spurious advantage这一interpretation，interpretation应该是该空的同义重复，所以这个空应该填选和interpret意思相同的construe。
这句话的意思是：
战败的人总势能创造他们自己某种意义上的“胜利”。据Schivelbusch说，在这众多方式当中，有一种是通过解释战胜者的胜利是基于某种虚的要素，而战胜者由于出于害怕自己战胜的道德损失，而趋于认同战败者编出的故事。
