雅苒国际4亿美元收购Tata Chemicals的印度尿素业务
近日，挪威雅苒国际（Yara International）正式完成了对Tata Chemicals (TCL) 在印度的尿素业务的收购，其在印度的业务发展战略中迈出了重要的一步。
雅苒国际总裁兼首席执行官Svein Tore Holsether表示，“此次收购行动是我们发展战略中的又一重要举措，全面推动了我们在世界第二大化肥市场中的集成地位。在我们全球业务中，这些资产的整合将促进我们在印度的业务增长。”
Tata Chemicals在印度的尿素工厂每年可生产氨70万吨，尿素120万吨。在截至2017年3月 31日的财年中，其营业额为2.96亿美元，不包括特殊项目的扣除折旧与摊销前的息税前利润（EBITDA）为2900万美元。该厂于 1994年投入使用，是印度最高效节能的尿素工厂，其能源效率与雅苒国际表现最佳的工厂不分伯仲。
在无现金无负债的基础上，收购金额为4.21亿美元，包括标准化运营资金净额1.3亿美元和其它资产2.91亿美元（运营资金净额受制于结算后权益调整）。
孟山都将在巴西销售耐麦草畏转基因大豆
孟山都巴西公司近日宣称，公司将会在巴西年种植季对转基因大豆种子INTACTA2 XTEND进行田间试验，以在来年向市场推广该大豆新品种。该品种对某些除草剂具有抗性，包括含麦草畏成分的除草剂。
孟山都在一份声明中表示，近期将会在巴西南马托格罗索州粮食生产核心区的展会上向农民介绍该大豆新品种。孟山都表示，该项新技术能强化杂草防治，尤其是对草甘膦存在抗性的杂草。
孟山都早期的转基因大豆品种对草甘膦具有耐受性。但由于一些杂草也已对草甘膦发展出抗性，因而促使公司寻求新的大豆品种。
巴西监管部门于2016年下旬就批准了孟山都销售抗麦草畏转基因种子的请求，但孟山都销售该种子的计划直到现在才开始执行。
巴西的大豆生产量仅次于美国，去年的产量达1.141亿吨。巴西是全球最大的油料种子出口国。
麦草畏使用争议
去年麦草畏产品的使用在美国引起争议，药物扩散导致周边作物的生长受到影响。密苏里州立大学的数据显示，2017年美国360万英亩的大豆田，相当于美国约4%的作物受到麦草畏的影响。
孟山都和巴斯夫表示，正当施用除草剂就可以保证其安全性。但面对诸多质疑，生产商需要让美国监管部门确信麦草畏的安全性。
今年美国将会执行更加严格的麦草畏除草剂的使用指导，但若美国环保署依旧收到麦草畏的投诉，将会禁止该产品的销售。
