How To Migrate Steam To a New Hard Drive
Unlike most , Steam can be easily moved between hard drives without redownloading or reinstalling anything. If you want to put Steam on a new hard drive – say, if you’ve bought a new computer or a larger hard drive for your games – you can copy your games over without going through a long download process. This is just one of the things that makes Steam awesome – if you have hundreds of gigabytes of games installed, good luck easily
unless you use Steam. While Steam stores all its games inside the Steam folder, some save files for third-party games are stored elsewhere and may require a bit more work to transfer. Getting Started Before continuing, you should be aware of a couple things:
Ensure you remember your Steam account name and password. You’ll have to re-enter both when you follow this procedure. You should also ensure that your Steam account is linked to an email account you still have access to, in case your need to reset your password. External hard drives are a useful way to transfer Steam’s files between computers, but you shouldn’t run Steam off an external hard drive. Playing a game off an
connected over USB will result in poor performance.
Moving Your Steam Folder First, close Steam if it’s running. After you do, browse to the Steam folder on your hard drive. By default, Steam installs to C:\Program Files\Steam (on 32-bit versions of Windows) or C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam (on ). If you installed Steam to a custom location, check there instead. In the Steam folder, select all the files except the SteamApps folder and the Steam.exe file and delete them. To quickly select the files, press
in the folder, then Ctrl+Click the SteamApps folder and Steam.exe file.
You should now have an empty folder containing only the SteamApps folder – which contains your
— and the Steam.exe program.
Move the entire Steam folder to a new location. If you’re placing it on a new hard drive in your existing system, move it to a location like D:\Steam. If you’re migrating your Steam files to a new computer, copy the Steam folder to an external hard drive (or ), then place it anywhere you like on your new hard drive. Once you’ve moved the Steam folder, launch Steam by double-clicking the Steam.exe file and log into your account. Steam will automatically download the few necessary files.
Before playing a game, you may want to verify its cache – in other words, check to make sure all its files are present on your system and aren’t corrupted. If Steam finds a problem, it will redownload the appropriate files. To verify a game’s cache, right-click the game in Steam, select Properties, click the Local Files tab, and click the Verify Integrity of Game Cache button.
Migrating Game Saves Many games store their save files in Steam Cloud, which stores your game saves online and synchronizes them between your computers. To check which of your installed games support Steam Cloud, click the List View button at the top right corner of your
and look for the games with cloud icons. Steam also stores other things online, including
Unfortunately, many games do not support Steam Cloud. Some of these games will store their save files an an obvious location, such as the My Games folder in your Documents directory. To copy these saves over, copy the My Games directory and place it in the same location on your other computer.
To copy a specific game’s save files over, you can try . However, you might want to use , which is a faster way to migrate many game saves over at once. While GameSave Manager doesn’t support every game, it can quickly scan your hard drive for game saves and package them into a single, convenient file. This file can be restored on another computer using GameSave Manager, effectively migrating your saved games to the other computer.

What the developers have to say:
Why Early Access?
&Darkest Dungeon already has a ton of content (10 hero classes, 3 dungeon environments, dozens of monsters, 130+ items, and more ) and we want to give fans a chance to play the game now! This in turn gives us a chance to improve the game based upon player feedback and otherwise involve the community in development!&
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
&We plan to be in Early Access for approximately six months, which time we will use to add more dungeons, more character classes, and many new features. Our intent is to release the full version of the game sometime in the 2nd half of 2015.&
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
&For the full release, we are planning to add more dungeon environments (one of which is the Darkest Dungeon), more character classes, story mode completion, additional monsters, items, quirks, narration, and dialogue. We also have reserved some time to add other new features and make changes based upon player feedback!&
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
&The current Early Access build is playable with 3 complete dungeon environments (Ruins, Weald, and Warrens), 10 character classes, 9 town building types, 5+ quest types, 30+ monsters, 130+ items, and more than 30 interactive dungeon objects.
There is currently no end to the Campaign Mode in Early Access, so players can keep raising heroes and embarking on quests indefinitely. The full version of the game will have an end to the story.&
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
&Final pricing for the game has not been determined, but the initial price will not be below Early Access list price.&
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
&The community is encouraged to post feedback on the official forums: /forums/. Also, purchasers are asked (but not required) to opt-in for anonymous gameplay data collection, which we use directly to collect play stats to assist with gameplay balancing.&

Grave Robber: Shadow Blood will now proc reliably
Plague Doctor: Battlefield Medicine will now proc reliably
Fix to turn order bug: sometimes first turn was being skipped if previous turn's first actor was killed
Trinkets: previous &Ancestral& trinkets that weren't actually part of the Ancestor's Set are now renamed as &Very Rare& trinkets with corresponding color.
Crone's &Embrace the Dark& 0 damage skill will no longer crit
Ghoul's &Howl& 0 damage skill will no longer crit
SPEED stat can now be negative. No more free lunches on 0 speed heroes with speed penalty trinkets equipped!
Tweaks to Seer Stone and Sniper's Ring trinkets
Fix to Vestal Illumination skill not applying torch effects when killing target.
Removed ability to re-select Camping Skill loadout while camping...
Disabled torch snuffing during combat to prevent admirable but sneaky torch snuffing at combat end to receive bonus loot
UI and Misc
Replaced text UI elements of Hunger, Loot windows and related with graphic buttons/icons
Standardized all pop-ups so the Positive / Interact option is on the left, and the cancel/quit are on the right. Beware of Loot dialogs--TAKE ALL is now on the left!!!
Total heal value will now be shown when healing a hero that is nearly full HP. E.g. If a healer places a 6 HP heal on a hero with 29/30 HP, it will still show +6 so you know the skill worked properly
Heals of 0 will show up again, to reinforce that the roll was low (e.g. Occultist)
Fixes and improvements to pop-up text and some related FX
Fix to Sound Options so they restore properly if changes are discarded
Bug fix to silent disease resist applying during Raid Results screen. Now raid results diseases are not resistable.
HOTFIX #8957
Fixed bug that was causing dramatically reduced damage in build #8949
Fix to Wilbur level 1 where he was sometimes not marking targets for Swine Prince
Fix to Torch tooltip updating during enemy turn
Reworked PROTection mechanics. PROT is now direct damage migitation from normal (non-DOT) hits, instead of the old PROT% x maxHP system. This was required because the old system did not properly power scale, leading to situations where heroes could become nearly (or fully) invulnerable. Now a PROT of 30%, for example, means that 30% of incoming damage is mitigated. There is a hard internal cap that we will be tuning on an ongoing basis.
Tuning adjustment for all PROT related buffs, trinkets, skills, and monsters/bosses to fit the new system. Expect ongoing balance adjustments.
Re-normalized hero weapon damage progressions, which will aid in future hero tuning. Most heroes had their top end damage increased, some by as much as 15%. Tuning will be happening on an ongoing basis.
Man-at-Arms: removed stun effect from riposte and lowered overall base damage and crit
Man-at-Arms: increased PROT buff from Guard
Leper: Withstand - increased PROT buff
Leper: Increased crit on AIM buff
Occultist: Increased proc and strength of Weakening Curse, Vulnerability Curse
Vestal: Balance adjustment on Vestal: &Illumination& and &Hand of Light&. Damage and crit reduced but debuff proc and strength increases
Increased proc of enemy Weakening Curse, Vulnerability Curse
Increased Light side effect slightly from hero skills (Vestal, etc.)
Fix to negative camping points due to skill selection bug
Deselecting the move toggles the move off when not in combat
Quest curios now have purple outlines when active
Fixed camping skill exploit
Fix to skill and buff tooltips

Imagine being stuck in a car for a fourteen hour drive. With three people you hate. While every other driver on the road is either drunk or deliberately trying to run you off the road. And you only have one sandwich left. And no head lights. Thats basically what the first few missions feel like. After that, it only gets harder because your driver has been blighted, your navigator was killed, and the other guy ate the sandwich because he had been driven insane. Eventually, after replacing a few people, you get to the point where, after a few pit stops, you manage to get rid of them and youre happily riding along with great people, and you think nothing bad is going to happen because youve got the perfect group of passengers. Then an eightteen-wheeler smashes your car killing all of you. Thats basically how this game plays. 10/10 would make that drive again.

This game is the most frustrating, aggravating, infuriating game I have ever played. It is stacked against you. You will lose characters you spent time and gold building up, you will quit in anger, you will feel like the game will not allow you to win. It's fantastic. The whole point of the game is to see these psychological effects dungeon crawling and fighting terrors from beyond the grave would have on normal people, and it drags you down with it too. This game gets into your head and messes with you.I'll be trying it again tomorrow.

YOU WIN, STEAM!
You've been throwing this game at me for months!
I see it under “Recommended For You.”
I see it under “Similar to games you play.”
You show it to me in the “Recently Updated.”
You stick it in to my queue pretty much every time I look there!
And where did you stick it this time?!? You know what you did Steam!
You sent it to me in an email saying “An item on your Steam wishlist is on sale!”
How did you sneak it on to my wishlist without my knowing, you jerk!!!So I bought it.
Throw your little “I won” party Steam, because you won.
And... uh... I actually like this game.
It's pretty good.
I guess I can't be too mad at you, Steam.
Thanks for, you know, suggesting this until I broke down and bought it.
I'm getting the grill out tomorrow if you wanted to come over.
The wife says hi.
Just no “I told you so” and the like.
Take your win graciously.

Let me tell you the tale of Picot, perhaps the greatest Vestal to walk these haunted halls. She was on a mission to the Weld with Reynauld the Crusader, Watteua the Grave Robber, and Marchs the Leper to purify corpses. After a long and stressful trek the come to find the last corpse guarded by an Infested Giant and two Fungal Batterys. The battle is long and our weary heroes are all at Deaths door, the stress tests her resolve and she finds power in her last moments. After a moment of confusion she finds herself at the front of the party, unable to heal her friends and knowing the beast will certainly kill some in the next strike she raises her mace to the sky and calls forth holy light, a mighty blow backed by her own force of will strikes the beast and it crumbles. Spent, she can only watch as the last Fungal Battery kills her with its desperate retreat. Her three companions finish the quest and carry her from the hellish pit. Many in the Hamlet weep to see her fallen. They bury her on the top of the tallest hill. Reynauld still brings a single Daisy to her grave everyday in remembrance.10/10 Would bury Picot again.

What the developers have to say:
Why Early Access?
&Robocraft has been built with a dedicated community of Robocrafters from the very beginning. It's first release was in April 2013 and had no multiplayer and no combat. From that point and to now the game has grown to it's full MMO state and whilst we still call it a 'Live Alpha' you will find it a very polished and fully featured experience.&
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
&We expect the game to remain in Early Access for at least the next 6 months after it's initial release on Steam. This way the Steam community can help to shape the game as the rest of the Robocraft community has so far.&
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
&When Clan Battles, Tournaments, Megabots (players as bosses in Boss Battles vs. other users), plus integration of Steam Leaderboards and Steam Achievements.&
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
&We call it 'Early Alpha' but we expect you to find it as polished and fully featured as most 'Beta' releases.&
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
&No, Robocraft will always be Free-to-play and our prices won't change as a result of shifting from Early Access to a full release in future.&
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
&Freejam (the developer of Robocraft) has community in it's blood. The work Freejam is a combination of 'Free' and 'Jam' where 'Free' shows our dedication to keeping Robocraft always Free and 'Jam' stands for 'Jamming'. We like to think of Robocraft as a game that has been built from the ground up with the community and 'Jamming' with the community is ingrained in everything we do.&

Robocraft is proud to introduce the AbleGamers Charity Holoflag!
AbleGamers are a fantastic charity who focus on introducing the world of gaming to individuals with disabilities.
Here’s some information from their site:
Video games allow individuals with disabilities to experience situations that may be difficult or limited in the real world, provide social networking opportunities to maintain mental and emotional health, and participate in one of the world’s largest pastimes.
As part of our support for their work, we’ve introduced an AbleGamers branded holoflag in the cosmetics store for 2495GC.
For each holoflag sold, $0.80 goes straight to AbleGamers with the remainder going to necessary costs (Freejam don’t profit from the sale of these holoflags).
Whether for the flag or to support the charity, we hope the Robocraft community will show AbleGamers lots of love! \o/

the following spoiler may be inappropriate to the young ones:you can build a legit d*ck on itpros:its minecraft but with robotic vehicles and all out multiplayer. Also its free...Game doesn't strongly recommend a Pay-To-Win, nor do you need to do so.Fun to play with friends, and still a growing game. Never gets old, nor is there a perfect winning op class.Well balanced classes, and gets fun when everyone works together as a team to win.Creativity and engineering, as well as FPS and Team Play.cons:some troll players here and there.if your team wont coop, its just a huge mess everywhere. Not much fun if your in it, only for FPS.
