& & 也许没有多少人知道UConn吧？UConn的全称是University of Connecticut,坐落在Storrs，CT，离NY大概3个小时车程，Boston大概1.5小时。
&&& 康涅狄格大学是NewEngland最好的公立学校（当然美国大学排名的话不是很前啦，大概是67&&）我申请的时候也不知道这间学校，只是看见自己想选的两个专业它都有，所以就申请咯。而且我最爱的篮球也很强。
&&& 学术：UCONN是一间很多学科选择的学校。像我之前选校的时候就在actuarial&environmental engineering之间犹豫了很久。但是UCONN居然两个都有，于是就随便申请了（之前也没有想过要进这间学校）。来到以后就发现，原来它有更多我们所不知道的专业，它们管他们叫做special program。如MEM(management&engineering for manufacturing), eur-tech(German+engineering，专门给有志于到德国工作的学生internship的机会).反正你想到的和你没想到得专业这里都会有。另外，这里的professor很多都很好，他/她知道你是国际学生，会给很多机会给你。（如我第一次写philosophy的PAPER拿了个F，Professor就说给一次机会我重写，还教我怎么样写，真的从语法到结构，从单词到内容地教&&）。在这里的话读书还真的不容易。我在中国读书已经不是差的那种，但是来到这里老师给的作业，Paper，考试一点都不简单。MIT有一个24小时都开着的图书馆，而我们每个dorm下面都有一个24小时开灯的study lounge。
&&& 学生：别以为UCONN的综合排名差，它就不好。在这里我知道有一个很competitive的honor program，在里面的学生的SAT平均分多少就忘了，但是肯定不会低于其他名校的要求）。里面的学生可以享有比其他学生更好的待遇，住宿条件，scholarship，交通优先等等。而这里也有人多牛人，我知道的就有一个用4还是5年完成5个学位的。有一个在columbia转学过来的grad，用3年时间完成undergrad的mechanical engineering major & material science minor，在UN工作。他转学来的原因是，UCONN的basketball很强，他要进校队，于是顺便进了这里的校队&&不过真的要看人了，如果你想lead一个easy life的话，每天睡十个小时也不是难事。像我这种命苦的人，就会让自己学习学到2、3点的样子吧，读书呗，然后第二天7点又要起床。
&&& 活动：这里的国际学生不多，只有全校的1%，在这里，你真的可以练习到英语，不同国家的英语。所以呢，很多国际学生都会住在global house．当然也有一半是本土学生，我的roommate就是一个很好很好的american。住在这里的话，会有很多Privilege，如你今天说要去沃尔玛，明天就有人车你去。还经常有免费的NY trip，最多就大家share gas fee那么大把吧。由于UCONN坐落在人烟稀少的storrs，周围都会有很多party，想进去relax一下的话最好就是要够21岁，不够也不要紧，问够的人借个ID就没事了，反正他们认不出来（不要说是我教你们的哦！）每个星期５，学校会有叫late night的东西，然后里面有很多free stuff，game，有的时候还会有party呢！总之会让你觉得十分的值！我们学校有自己的牧场，我们在dining hall吃的雪糕都是用自己的牛奶做的哦！据说在牧场里面有＂挤奶大赛＂，＂骑马比赛&等等。好多好玩的东西！
&&& sholarship、internship:第一年是规定了没有任何奖学金给国际学生的，但是第二年可以申请。而事实上，UCONN有很多私人scholarship，像Engineering的话，有专门的人发邮件发份application给你填。而学校每一两个月就会找60多家公司机构到学校招揽人才，还专门有一个website给alumni和学生在世界各地找工作。:
