Question: Summarise the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they challenge the specific points made in the reading passage..
The lecture and the reading passage mainly talk about whether dinosaurs are endotherms or not. The passage give three reasons as follow:
First, it point out that the fossils that have been discovered in polar regions indicate that dinosaurs are endotherms.In the lecture, however, the professor augues that during the ancient time ,polar regions was warmer than now.During the ice age, dinosaurs were moved to somewhere warm or just slept to get rid of the cold just like other reptiles that is not endotherms.
Second, the passage says that dinosaurs\\\' legs are under their bodies,which suggests that they can allow sustained physical activities. But in the lecture, the professor argues that there is another reason for the underneath legs.These legs help them to support their large bodies.
Third, the passage tells us that the exsistance of haversian canals is another evidence. On the contrary, the lecture says that we cannot judge just base on the haversian cannals.The reason is that dinosaurs also have another kind of structures which help them to grow quickly.And evidence shows that&&dinosaurs grow slow in cold days and grow much faster in warm days, which is exactly the same as reptiles or other animals which is not endotherms.& &

In my opinion, I believe that in twenty years, there will be fewer cars in use than nowadays. There are three arguments I would like to mention following:
First, fewer cars will reduce the pollution. As people care more about their living environment, more people will choose a transportation that is eco-friendly. Take Beijing as an example, air pollution has already become a severe problem, so more people choose to take public transportation such as bus and subway.
Second, the development of cities benefits for the reduction of cars.If a city is developed,it will have a convenient subway and bus system. Citizens can get to anywhere easily. Also, the working spaces will not be limited only near the down town or&&in the centre region. People can choose to work in buildings near their house so they can walk there, or even work at home.
Last but not least, as traffic jam become more and more serious. Government will control the number of cars by making some policies to encourage people not to buy cars. Take my city as an example,if people want to buy a car which produces more air pollution than standard, they should pay a large sum of money as taxes. Moreover, cars are not allowed to drive onto the road every day. Whether it is allowed&&depending on the car number.All of these make cars function not as good as they were before.
Although the technology of car manufacturing is developing quickly. It is true that these will reduce pollution sharply. But latest cars powering by electricity are still too expensive to get popular. The cars become less powerful,which prevent people from buying them.So far, the electric car cannot replace the cars powering by gas.
As far as I concerned, as the limits of cars usage increase, the number of cars will definitely decrease.& && &
